We have pulled together some suggestions if you'll be hanging around for February Vacation. Important note! If we get amounts of snow worthy of snow forts and sledding on any of these days, immediately insert "play in snow".
the Play + Learn at Little Milestones
Not surprisingly, our first suggestion is to visit the Play + Learn! We offer drop in play seven days a week from 10am-3pm. Follow us on facebook, instragram and subsribe to our emails so you never miss an event or deal! More information on these events can be found below.
Public Skate at Gallo
Gallo Ice Arena offers public skate options. No experience required! Make some fun family memories on the ice with lots of giggles. View their website for more details.
Family Movie at Home
Who doesn't love a good family movie night at home! Well, once the arguing has subsided while compromising on a movie choice. Make your own popcorn, set up a snack table, bring down the comfiest of all blankets and cuddle up on the couch. Disney's "Wish" is adorable. Click below for some fancy flavored popcorn ideas.
Cape Cod Coffee
Enjoy breakfast at Cape Cod Coffee. Having young children, it is vital to have a few child friendly restaurant options on hand. We love the Mashpee Commons location to take a stroll after you eat.
Toe Jam Puppet Band
If you have yet to see the Toe Jam Puppet Band, you simply must! So much fun and the adults will even be laughing. They'll be at the Mashpee Library at 1pm on Tuesday, February 20th.
Make Pizzas
Plop the whole family in the car, head to the grocery store and pick out your favortie pizza toppings. Best part is there [shouldn't] be any arguing because everyone can choose their own! Make your own dough or skip this step and buy it from the store.
Cape Cod Children's Museum
The Cape Cod Children's Museum is another great option for indoor play. Be sure to check out their website for all their fun events!
Harwich Junior Theatre
Go see an adorable show at the Harwich Junior Theatre. Check out show times for Elephant & Piggie’s “We Are In A Play!”
Family Movie at the Mashpee Library
The Mashpee Library will be showing "Elemental" at 1pm on Thursday, February 22nd. While you are there, check out some books, play with some puzzles, or build some blocks!
Make a Blanket Fort
Pull out a ton of cushions and blankets and let the good times roll.
Woods Hole Aquarium
We are so lucky to have this aquarium on the Cape. After your visit, be sure to walk around Woods Hole. There are tons of places to have lunch and watch the ferries come in and out!
Game Night
Game night is a big win with slightly older children. Chutes and Ladders and Candyland stand the test of time. Side note. When people ask for gift ideas during the holidays or Birthday's, a board game is a great request. It's something you can all do together as a family (assuming you have not lost any of the important pieces to the games). The Red Balloon at the Mashpee Commons has a huge selection of board games, too!
Bagel Haven
When you are going to eat bagels, grocery store bagels simply won't 'cut it. Bagel Haven has the best bagels and friendly staff for that matter! Grab bagels, drive to the beach for gorgeous views while you eat in the car.
Nova Trampoline Park
If you'd like your children to burn off some energy, this is the place. And if you have been before, but not recently, they have added even more things to keep the children occupied for a long, long time! Absolutely worth the drive.
Eli's Tavern at the Coonamessett
We're all in on food that children don't have to wait for. This buffet brunch is simply divine. The food is delicious, tons of choices, gorgeous atmosphere and kids cups with nice fitting lids (we know the importance of a kids cup with a lid that stays on)! The price is very reasonable, too. You can make a reservation, although it's not required.
