Ms. Ashley Hufnagel Gorton
Program Director

Ms. Ashley is one of the three owners and is our Program Director. She received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and Care and a minor in Special Education from Bridgewater State University. While in college, she also attained her Director II Certification. In her spare time, she enjoys biking and hiking with her two sons and husband.

Ms. Alissa Hufnagel Saarmann
Admissions Director

Ms. Alissa one of the three owners of the program and is our Admissions Director. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Learning and Development from Framingham State University. She holds her Director Certification with the EEC. Ms. Alissa was born and raised on the Cape and loves beach days with her three sons and husband.

Ms. Ginny Hufnagel Knapp
Business Director

Ms. Ginny is one of the three owners of the program. When her two daughters were young, she owned and operated a family daycare from home. Ms. Ginny handles office management within our program. She holds her Director Certification with the EEC. Her free time is spent with her five grandchildren and husband.

Teachers

Ms. Beth Douglas
Preschool Teacher

Ms. Beth has been an instrumental and greatly valued part of our program since 2021. She received her degree in Sociology from Elmhurst College. She has been a teacher for over 12 years and has taught all age groups (toddler-school aged). Ms. Beth was born and raised just outside of Chicago, IL. For the past 18 years she has lived in Texas and recently moved to Cape Cod with her husband and two cats, Honey and Mickey. In her spare time she loves to read, travel and watch baseball and football!

Ms. Kathleen Shimansky
Preschool Teacher

Ms. Kathleen has been contributing excellence within our program since 2021. She is currently working towards her degree in Early Childhood Education. Having a large family, she has always been surrounded by younger siblings, cousins and nieces. She always enjoyed caring for them and watching them grow. In high school she took a Child, Growth and Development course where she felt a true calling to childcare and education. She was born in Falmouth but moved to Texas when she was young. She later moved back to her hometown and has been here for close to 10 years. She has a huge family, along with three dogs and a cat! Ms. Kathleen enjoys swimming, singing, drawing and spending time with her friends and family!

Ms. Chloe Renzi
Toddler + Preschool Teacher

Ms. Chloe moved to the Cape from Tahoe, California and is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood Education. She is also pursuing a minor in Psychology. She has worked at a school in California with focus on both toddler and school age children. Since she was in preschool herself her dream was to become a teacher one day! In her free time she enjoys traveling, reading, and playing sports like softball and volleyball.
